Art is beautiful math….
Spending time listening to my friend David play a little bit on the guitar and talking about the circle of fifths and frequencies made me think how wonderful our G-d is for….
If you are left brained and are a logical thinker – there is math behind your logic. Duh, right (or is it left)? 😀
If you are right brained and more artistic and love music and nature – you too are also influenced by math.
Truth is that art and music go hand in hand with science and reason. Why?
Because all of life is logical. And the creator of logic and order is our Creator. From Fibonacci numbers with seeds to the frequencies and amplitude of music – all creation is beautiful and well orchestrated.
We truly serve a wonderful Creator – one that can bless us no matter if our particular enjoyment flavor is nature, music, art, solving problems, understanding how things work or the science behind photography (which by the way you get both sides of the brain all at once and yes I am partial to nature and photography).
And guess what – if you are an engineer or architect that is laying out the blueprint for a skyscraper or taking the materials to actually build it – you are enjoying art, you are enjoying math, and you are enjoying your Creator (even if you don’t yet recognize it yet)
So all this points to how even the smallest things we enjoy can be summed up in two ways!
- We are here to praise Him for who He is and what He gives to us. He is so great!
- We need to remember to be more often in awe of Him no matter what we are doing.
So the next time you strike up a pose for a picture or sing along in your car or are trying to build a personal hobby project – remember that there is some logical beauty buried in each activity and may you praise Him all the more for it.
Colossians 1:
16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

So very True! He knew when to hold back the ocean, make the world so we don’t fall off, created Happy children that giggle before they can speak!!, how any one thinks there here without a maker,is just way beyond my comprehension?!!
Amen brother!
God gives us so many reasons to praise Him. As creatures created in His image, we can think, and reason, and reflect, and enjoy. Even as we look in the mirror we like David can praise the Lord because “we are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
